DA 2. I'm playing through Dragon Age 2 again and I noticed you can do the DLC from any act, not just act 3. Is there an ideal time to do it for either loot or story reasons? Also any particular companions I should bring (I've played them before but it was so long ago I've forgotten them almost completely) Sort by: Best. Open comment sort options.
The Exiled Prince is downloadable content for Dragon Age II, included in the signature edition or available separately from the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network, and BioWare's site for the PC. It can be played at any time after reaching Kirkwall in the main campaign. Adventure alongside Sebastian Vael, an archer of noble birth, as he seeks revenge for the brutal murder of his family
Dragon Age 2: Both major DLC's (Legacy and Mark of the Assassin) give the game lengthy areas, new areas, and less repetition; it's necessary to have these to enjoy DA2 more, so that you have more unique content to experience.

Taking place three years after Dragon Age 2 finished, Dragon Age: Inquisition covers the tumultuous period between 9:40 and 9:41, with its Trespasser DLC jumping ahead to 9:44.
For DA2 DLC: Exiled Prince gets you another companion. Mark of the Assassin is more for fun, and related to the Redemption web series. Legacy is important to DAI and can make part of DAI a bit confusing if you haven't done it. For DAI DLC: Jaws of Hakkon is fun and good for extra lore.
